Die gestern schon sanft begonnene Pre-Expo Gerüchteküche geht heute fröhlich weiter. Apple Insider sagt bis zu 2,6 GHz für kommendes Frühjahr vorher:

"According to sources, test yields have shown the revision to clock up to 2.6GHz and come in a variety-pack of 4 flavors: 2GHz, 2.2GHz, 2.4GHz, and 2.6GHz. Additionally, yields of the new 90nm microprocessor have been as successful as those obtained with the 130nm G5 process.
The processors will be ready for delivery to Apple sometime in the month of January, sources said."

Daneben wird es an diesem Wochenende wohl einen neuen Seed von 10.3.2 für die Entwickler geben, so wird das Update noch ein wenig auf sich warten lassen.

Nach massiver Bildberichterstattung über den Apple Store Tokio ist nun unter dem schönen Titel 'The Longest Line' ein Film (44,5 MB .mov, geschlagene 12einhalb Minuten) über den Eröffnungstag aufgetaucht, der sich allerdings zumindest momentan gehörig Zeit beim Laden lässt. Dafür wird nach dem Anschauen klar, wie lange diese Schlange wirklich war.

Laut Think Secret bastelt Apple an einer Überarbeitung der Software Aktualisierung:

"Eventually, sources said, Apple would like to provide users with the ability to install updates to major third-party applications through Software Update. Apple would provide access to developers of popular software -- such as Adobe and Microsoft, as well as large shareware developers -- but does not plan to offer it to smaller applications."
